AM here with corporate finance (M&a) experience just moved to the US to marry my American fiancé but having a really hard time landing a job right now. Job apps that match my background and requirements almost always gets rejected immediately. What should I do?

"There were several strong candidates and we had to make some tough calls in the end"... Why can't you be direct and tell me if the candidate you move on with has more experience, more skills, asked for less salary, you felt more connected when you two spoke, etc.?? Does anyone have a similar experience? I interviewed with recruiters from two of "Big 4". Both interviews went well, and I was told the recruiters will submit my resume to the partners and senior managers for the next interviews. 3 weeks later, I received the rejection letters without the next interview. I wonder why the partners even not bothered to interview me. If it matters, I am a CPA with 3 years non-PA experience and applied for experienced associate positions. I appreciate any insights.
