Yeah I do definitely face it. They do the bare minimum and even If they do the bare minimum and they think it’s all fix it there is no left problem to solve even in society and the corporate world.

Located in Charlotte, NC and the biggest issue is getting folx to realize DEI is about multiple identities and belonging. Too often I get folx pushing back because they have an assumption it is just about race and gender. While of course we have a focus on those areas, we also try to cover multiple other identities and creating psychological safety among our teams.

Yeah definitely. This thing a FaceTime Brazil is that the people in power really does not like this belong anything because they truly don’t want to hang out and get along with people who are so different of them. Like the street mayo don’t want to get along with the gay male, straight women don’t want to get along with the black lesbian community. And this for sure makes me feel like I’m running in circles.

Have any of you taken "low bono" clients while working at a firm? I want to take on a low bono client or two but not sure who would get the money. This is a contract opportunity through a non profit so I'm assuming a 1099 will be issued. The per hour rate is significantly less than my billable rate. I would (obviously) like the money but my real objective is just getting experience/networking since I recently moved to a new state and don't have clients of my own.

Did 4 rounds of interviews. Last 2 with 2 partners at EY. Haven’t heard back even after 1 month. One partner even commented “you will be a good addition to the team”. Hiring manager gave EY email after her interview call with me.
Fast forward two weeks, no communication. Recruiting was surprised that I was still chasing for this position, month later. Got to know last week that hiring team was continuing to interview candidates. Should I drop the idea to get hired? EY hasn’t rejected me yet.

When will EY GDS credit the paycheck each month. I joined EY GDS August last week, I heard that they'll usually rollout the paycheck by last working day in the month, but i haven't received my paycheck.
