Got a competing offers
One is from ISL banglore and the other is from a product based firm in b'lore itself.

I was chasing another offer down to the last day primarily because of the 90 day notice period.

Context : other org is a bit leaner in staffing and I am already coming from a big bank.
CTC are almost the same.

Is IBM ISL a better company despite 90 day notice policy even in probation.

TC check for NYC in-house lawyers. I'm 9 YOE in financial services with 300 TC. 230 salary with 70k bonus.

I’m a data scientist with 6.5 yoe( 1 yr in consulting). I am looking for data science opportunities in France, Italy and Spain, I would appreciate it if anybody can help me with this. I am coming from Canada and will get the young experience visa that is an agreement between these countries and Canada.

How does one decline to give a referral to someone in their network who asked for one? Know somebody who was a basket-case and very unreliable; has now asked me for a referral-I don't want to give it.

The station I work at is down at least 15 positions. Some jobs have been open for two years.

The remaining staff is required to step up.

Additional positions are opening up as contracts are either broken or expire.

H-1B question. Does anyone know if there is any issue with requesting 1098 from an educational institution if we have spent on self education while working full-time on H-1B? I incurred some expenses last year and if having a 1098 will help with tax. Thanks much!

Does anyone else constantly put off putting their time in as they go and then hate their life at the end of the month? Then once you get caught up, you don’t want to enter more time, and so you fall behind again. It’s a vicious cycle.

Fundraising question: I volunteer for a dog rescue and they had raised some money threw Facebook. They have been on Facebook for more that 10 years. The money hasn’t been released to them and I cannot find any way to contact some who can help.

I just got an offer from a company that I have mixed feelings about. Team seems great but Glassdoor reviews, not so much. I’m currently interviewing with a couple of other companies that are amazing and would be my too choices. However, I’m very early in the process so it will probably take a month or so to get to the offer stage with them. I don’t want to fall between two chairs for not taking this offer and then not getting any from other companies. What should I do? Best strategy?
