I had submitted my documents to hcl after technical interview for HCL after which hr had called me to get my salary expectations.

After this call I did not get any call from HR so I sent them email for update. I got an email today stating "Your selection is valid for 90 Days we are looking for suitable opportunities will let you know update shortly"

What does it mean? Can anyone help me understand this statement?

I'm having total 7+ yoe (5+yrs embedded developer + 2yrs in FuSa automotive) Initially HCL have denied what I've expected for automotive FuSa and they have given an offer of 10LPA with a justification that my relevant experience is less, now I'm holding an offer of 18 LPA and asked HCL for a counter offer for the same position what do you guys think will HCL offer me this much?
