Can anyone confirm that the following is true: if someone has signed up for the CARES ACT, specifically the marketplace health insurance, and they got off of the insurance in May but took from their IRA in December to manage their home, they have to pay back all of the subsidy they received from Jan-May because when they took from their ira in December, it pushed them over the 400% FPL? Are there Any possible solutions or exceptions that they can look into?

Why would firms hire competitor partners with the knowledge that they are low performers/getting pushed out? I see it referred many times here, but what’s the value to hire a partner that definitionally doesn’t have a strong book of business otherwise he wouldn’t be pushed out in the first place? Seems like paying partner salary for just knowledge or an IC is too much.
