Is it a bad idea to switch to product based company if my only aspiration is onsite

I am Indian Chartered Accountant with 3 years of PQE in Audit and Assurance. I am looking for a job in US or Europe in Financial reporting. Please suggest me the best way to apply there and if there is any other certification that I should do.

I'm working on skills to reposition myself from a branch of tech where certifications are mandatory and required to even interview into DevOps or software development. I'm currently taking some online classes in Jenkins, docker, python. I've found a few certifications you can test for. I'd love to be able to go into a mid level position vs Jr in the next few years. A) Are these types of certs helpful or useless? B) what skills differentiate Jr and mid level positions?

I got my masters in water resource engineering where I was coding a decent amount for assignments and it has really stuck with me.
