Nice places to live downtown for under $1600 per person? I’m seeing like 3 apartments that fit that price range

My friend is looking to move to Bangalore but her salary is <50k pm(content writing). moving to another city is a new thing for her and I want her to try and experience this but I'm also concerned about the costs.
Even if she chooses shared flat for accommodation and budget living. can she manage there on this salary?
