I’ve got 8 years experience, work at a small, hot creative agency in NYC and will be promoted to CD soon. I’m not irreplaceable since no one truly is, but I’m a high value employee responsible for a good proportion of the agency’s marquee creative work and some important new business wins. I’m at $165k now, what should I ask for with my promotion?

I just got engaged on Sunday (!!) and my ring is just a little big. I’m reading online that most jewelers won’t resize a rose gold ring. Has anyone had any issues with this? I could go back to the family jeweler who designed the ring and would do it for free but the ring was designed in Michigan and I live in Chicago. Really confused as to whether to incorporate my NY- based makeup startup as an LLC or an S-corp? Not based in NYC if that matters and no revenue yet.
