Just joined S&C from 8 YOE in industry. Joined as M1, but was also a manager in former industry role. How soon is reasonable to be thinking about promotion Senior Manager? What kind of salary increase comes with this promotion?

Also, I negotiated current salary when the offer came 5 months ago now, not taking into account high increases in inflation. Do salaries get adjusted for inflation? And if so, when?

So many love it, but our pay is low compared to the rest of the financial sector, and so when people with great experience come knocking, HR denies them because the ask is outside the price range. So mangy managers are pushing back but damn. Why shoot yourself in the foot like that?
