I have head hunters reaching out to me constantly about new “opportunities”. It’s always the same; base salary, bonus, benefits etc. At the end of the day, all these “opportunities” are still At-Will JOBS. Has anyone had any experience and success in negotiating a contract, LTI, or equity? If so, thoughts on strategy in broaching the subject during the interview/hiring process would be appreciated. At-will past a certain age/experience level ain’t an “opportunity”.

Six wks later her 17yo wrecked it, air bags deployed, and estimates have ranged between $10-$18k in needed repairs while $21k is still owed. I racked up about $20k in credit card debt due to a confluence of things happening at once (move, school expenses , etc ). I have a fair amount of paper assets but not a much free cash. Assets are down a decent amount with the current market cycle and I’d prefer not to sell them to cover the debt , although they easily could. I’ve always been a big saver minimum 15% to maxing out my 401k since I graduated college. I’m married to someone who thinks 6% is enough and likes $$$ cars. Other than the cars, they dont really spend money. For the married 🐠, how do you have the conversation with them that what they are doing isn’t enough? I try to guide them and say you want the $$$ cars but the salary you have won’t get there and you’re going to have to find a job that gets them the salary…. Then the fight starts.

Looking to get an Alfa Romeo Giulia Ti sometime this year.
