Now this all depends. IIT too broad a term huge difference between IIT Bombay, Delhi ,Madras, Kharagpur vs say an IIT Mandi or Bhilai for that refrence point your alumni groups the best Data source.
Guessing any organisation should easily give 30% hike.

Iam from iit bhu if that helps

Usually they wont give more than 35-40% of your current. However currently things are not going good, no hike for most of the people from 2years, so its wise to rethink. Culture has taken a hit. Too much politics.

They give hike based on ur current ctc usually. If and only if its a very critical opening they will consider ur counter offer. Bt given the current situation i dont think they would consider ur counter offer for negotiation.

Go for 30% hike, but future isn't going to be good as almost no hikes for past 2 years

I second this. Join at your own risk.
