If a person is on bench in Capgemini India and is put into Back on track plan which is essentially PIP,then is it guaranteed that the person will be fired or forced to resign from the organization on completion of the PIP period?
Or is there a chance that a person might come back from PIP due to good progress in learning?

My co-worker was hired in at manager level but somehow “proved” he was actually doing director level work and got a title promotion and salary increase in less than a year.
