My manager told me that they given less hike just because I did only what roles required. Not own any ownership. And told me also that he saved me from opportunity rating and put in successful. others view on this. Do someone else got the same response for less hike and bonus.

I have performed all the assigned responsibilities to me and delivered within the stipulated deadlines. Also, catered the high volume of issues. Mine number was highest in the team for previous year. There are some of the team members whom I helped a lot during escalations. Attended phone calls after working hours. Still I have been given opportunity rating with no hike and bonus and now I have been put onto PIP and now he realise the value which I was bringing to team and now he is trying to save me by giving badges and promising me to take out of the PIP program. There are members in my team those who have high number of escalations and not parforming any other task apart from their work. It just felt like favouritism for particular people's and ignoring the real hard workers. I have started looking for the new opportunities now.
Pip timeline is 2 months I think
From my experience, don't take your jobs too seriously. It is just a means to earn, take care of your health, family and life.
When people get too attached to jobs, then there are issues. Some managers may value your excellence while many may just overlook it.
When teams don't have the budget to give good hikes, managers do all this kind of crap. Put employees on PIP, give poor ratings etc.
Rather they should openly accept that your performance was adequate but we don't have budget. Luckily I have worked with managers who have accepted it.
