How do you review resumes in a way that reduces implicit bias? I just finished reading the book, "Biased," which discusses the implicit biases we all hold. Our company has not invested in an ATS software, and we’re looking to create a scoring rubric / database in excel based on the job description and candidates. What are ways to ensure the resume review process controls for bias and is still efficient / expedient?
Putting together our strategy for next year and interested to hear what your big 3 challenges are that you see ( outside of continuing to navigate pandemic issues) ? Thanks
A few days ago I was offered a role for a recruiter with a company. Benefits, PTO, pay is decent, enough to get me by. I accepted today because it was the final day to do so. I was then called by a recruiter for another company, in which they made me a better offer for a Generalist and I want to take this one. What do I do? I didn’t sign a contract, there’s no clause that states I need to take the position.
I keep hiring sales people who are super enthusiastic and overpromising on what they deliver. I put them through a trial month (no base + commission only) and they do not close a single deal, Even though the commission structure is amazing and I’m incentivizing them through the roof. We experienced sales people are asking for a base and commission but I’m scared that I’ll end up having a base and the same thing will end up happening. What am I doing wrong?

Would my bosses let me move to work in a different state? I work as an internal consultant within KPMG, working for the firm within the internal HR team. I have been with KPMG for 5 months but I am wanting to move back home to be with my family - on the other side of the country. There’s only a 2 hour Timezone difference and I’d make sure to work on current time. My line manager I report to lives in another state to me anyway - and it seems to work well for her. Am I pushing my luck to ask?
We've had a few instances of possible COVID sick employees that returned with negative test results. Upper management is basically asking if there is something they can do to help control what employees are doing in their off time (ie. going to bars or other places with a lot of people). They even went as far as to mention something about a wedding that 3 of the employees are in together. Can an employer have ANY control over an employee's time off? It seems crazy to think that they think they can.

I applied for an a job and got through 2 of the 4 of interview for this tech sales company for a sdr position. I got scared off about commuting to a job. I pretty much lied to commiting. she said they were still interested in hiring me for a sales roles, to be on the look out for an inside sales role. An ISR role opened up, I applied to it but how do I reintroduce myself to the recruiter, how is the interview process different for an ISR vs an SDR interview? How can I highlight my talents?

Mom and I want to go to participate in a march today (mask on, socially distanced as much as possible). Sister was ok with this but in talking to her husband is now pushing back on us going. I get where she’s coming from but I also feel like it’s a...
