Hi all, asking on behalf of my SO. He’s currently in a backend engineer security role and wants to move into an infra related one. He’s in talks with his manager about moving internally in his current company but that is still in discussion. He just got an offer from another company for an infra role but they need an answer in the next week. How do you guys suggest he push for a decision from his manager about the internal move. Should he tell his manager he has another offer?

I keep starting huge projects or hobbies and being intensely into it for about 10 days/2 weeks, after which I forget about it and the project just lays around my house for months until I get interested in it again or I toss it out/donate it. It was fine when I was living alone but my partner is seriously frustrated with how messy the house gets and how much I spend on supplies for these things. How can I be less impulsive OR how can I stay motivated past the 10 day mark?? TIA

I have got into a frontend Project as a AEM UI Developer in my new company, and I will be switching from a react developer role.
About AEM I checked and found on net that it is a niche skill, so very less experienced developers are there. And job openings are also less, as compared to react. Please provide some information about it. Is it a good role? What will be it's future scope and demand, like let's say after two years of experience in AEM?
