I’m an immigration paralegal but I have an MA in human rights. I’ve been working at my org for 2 1/2 years but I don’t see an upwards growth for me unless I go to law school but that is really expensive and it’ll take a few years. Hi everyone, its my first time posting here but thought I'd ask for some advice on this. am a beginner UXer with a design education background. I just got a job as UI Designer. I am super anxious. I am good at research to wireframing. But UI, never done it before... high fid, design systems etc are all so new to me. This is making me so insecure getting into the new job what if I make a fool of myself? What if I ruin projects and real client work? Should be excited but can't stop overthinking.

As a UX/UI designer with a non design background (just a minor in interaction design), i find it rough to get more efficient at software. Figma, sketch, adobe CC… idk if i just need more practice since it doesnt come naturally or if im in the wrong field. Have competing offers from EY and KPMG UK Economic advisory teams( Manager/Snr Exec level). KPMG's UK technical rep and comp offer is better, but the hours appear longer. EY UK Director has had several calls selling culture (diversity and work life balance). Is there actually a substantive emphasis on this by EY? Or are 50+ hour weeks quite common? I suspect it's going to be quite team dependent/ project dependent, and therefore a gamble in any case. Thanks for any perspectives.

How hard is it to get a tech cofounder? I want to change the way the world lends when crypto is used as collateral. MVP involves building out api end points, building a portal and decision engine. No front end apps or web portals. I have a deck and have had meaningful conversations with money but it’s too expensive to buy everything from scratch to get started. Perhaps an outside team commercializing and scaling a prototype will be much more economical. Feedback?
