Hi guys! I have a total of 7 YOE in BD and as a founder. I just completed a full-time MBA at a tier-2 university (top 15) in the UK. I am currently giving interviews for two consulting firms for a consultant role, and I am struggling to find a referral in Accenture and 2-3 other consulting firms (non-MBB) here in the UK. Is there anyone here who wouldn't mind sharing a referral? I'd hugely appreciate it, thanks.

Anyone have experience working in sales for a startup? What are things to consider? Got a recruiter contacting me about an open position very similar to what I do now, at a startup.

I am planning to shift to Data Analyst/Data scientist role. Right now i work for a project where I'm a software eng & we have to maintain our application on C++ code. It is more like support/dev and unit testing combined. Coding is hardly involved and my hold on DS is weak so not sure if I'll be able to crack technical interviews for C++ dev or anything similar.
So is this a right decision to move from application dev role to Data Science/analyst field? Does software engineer gets paid more?

Anyone have advice for advancing in your current role? My co-worker was hired in at manager level but somehow “proved” he was actually doing director level work and got a title promotion and salary increase in less than a year. I also went above and beyond my job as well (covering for him for a month while he was away on paternity leave) while taking on other projects outside of my job title and got zip—no raise or recognition. Any advice would be appreciated!
