Only a few of the engineers I've met have been antisocial, and it seems like such people are represented fairly evenly across different careers. I'm not really sure why that misconception still exists

The media misrepresents people across different careers for their plotlines. I love engineering networks. I'm always learning and amazed.

I am an engineer and we usually mix disciplines the most antisocial engineers are always those related to programming or systems, who thinks the same?

Systems engineers tend to be quite antisocial, but I think it all has to do with why we are that part of the engineering that is always in front of a PC, whether as a gamer or as an undergraduate programmer.

Antisocial because they are unfriendly, I think we can name chemical engineers and electricians, for some reason they believe that they are the best engineering of all, we all believe that we have the best engineering but we don't say so, these two do and rarely come together with other disciplines, They feel that feeling of supremacy since university.

Par excellence, the antisocial are the data programming engineers, everything related to data, but it is more because they are timid than because of bad people, but the antisocial, because they are not very sociable, are the chemists.

I know quite a few petroleum engineers who are of few words, but I have to say they were old school. Now you know other mechanical engineers many of who are quite antisocial are like a private clan.

Have a look at the room size, ventilation , bed size , if required taste the food also before booking PG. How does a sole engineer at a company go about getting management to actually care how production machines run? I’m the only mechanical engineer at my company dealing with a half dozen cranky production managers who think that I can “work my magic” on a machine. It’s not magic, just ignorance about the machine actually works. How to I get a manager to stop caring about the end product long enough for me to actually teach them about their own machine?
