I joined as a sde2 at baci 3 months ago. Before I joined i saw everyone praise the work life balance etc. i honestly joined because of the WLB reviews. But after joining since atleast last 1 month. I feel like there is no WLB. There are evening meetings from 6pm to 8 or 9pm. Where is the balance? I feel like im working entire day and doing nothing else because of this. Entire day goes in work and office. No time for self or family.

Please tell me does this get better or worse?

Hello! I’m gearing up for my year end comp conversation and I’d like to be a better idea of what people are making to ask for a raise. I work for a large asset manager and sell alternative investments (PE, RE, Credit, Infra etc) to RIAs, family offices, and multi family offices. I’m currently an associate, but am hoping to get VP this cycle. Any insight on what your comp looks like and how it’s structured would be super helpful!
