I have had unique individual contributor positions since being an Administrative Assistant, which puts my experience about 20 years ago. I was looking for a full time position and not getting any interviews.

I am now looking for part time as I will be watching my granddaughter on Thursdays and Fridays.

Any tips from women who had to take maternity leave while contracting? Hi- I’m an hourly AA, been on the role for 6 months now and it’s my first AA job. I did not get a raise when I took the job because it was technically a demotion ( I was a team leader at a contact center). I assist two VPs and now they want to add a third because they’re looking for the “ 3:1 ratio “. Should I ask for a raise? Is this normal? Admins. Midwest region. Tax, audit or overall office admin. Salary range? Highest comp percentage increase you’ve seen in your role? I’ve been in my position 15 years & go above & beyond for anyone in our office. But my salary doesn’t reflect my knowledge, experience or work ethic IMO.

Has anyone else had a mentor (assigned to them by the Company) who seemed to have it out for you? I mean downright sabotage to make you look bad left and right. I didn’t realize it at first. She was fake friendly, but she was discrete too. Some of the executives thought she was amazing, but I had to clean up her work all the time. She wasn’t above me either on the chain of command. Later I found out she had tried for the exec assistant role and they didn’t choose her, they wanted me instead.
