I talked to others about my work. I also ended up seeing another therapist for several years just for someone to talk to bc i always didn't want to unload on my family or friends.
That’s helpful to know. I’m feeling the same way. Some of the stuff you see at work just feels too heavy to constantly bring up with friends. Thanks for sharing.
Join a peer support group (or start one in your area). I find that nobody truly "gets" what we go through unless they too have experienced it. It can also be helpful to find a hobby or passion outside of the workplace. For me, this is how I let off steam and manage my own personal wellbeing.
I haven't been :/. My only recovery has been with the help of my own therapist, who I always say is way better than me at knowing what's going on in my head. I think what I really need is a break.
I feel the same way- I’m definitely struggling to feel replenished. So many high need clients and too much paperwork to truly feel well rested.
