Hi! I had an interview with Visa UK about a week ago but haven’t heard back yet. It was my first interview with the line manager, and they mentioned there was another candidate. I’ve been wondering—do they usually get back to you even if you’re not moving to the next stage, or only if you are? Also, how long did it take for you to hear back after your interview?

Newbie Tax filing question, worked for a US employer Jan - July in NJ and then moved and worked for a Canadian employer Sept - Dec. Work permit holder in both countries at the time. Hey guys… I’m a case worker in child safety and I’m someone who loves being outdoors/dies at a desk all day. I’m hoping to organise that at least once a week I can go to a cafe and catch up on all my case notes that need to go into the system.
So far the only reason I’ve been told no is that “if you do then everyone will want to and then no one will be in the office” … how can I convince them that I work better out of the office and get this freedom & mental break for myself?

Hi, just wondering how the staffing situation has been in strategy consulting in general? My sibling started a job in strategy in Silicon Valley 2 months ago after MBA. She has been on the bench for 2 months and was informed that there has been a shortage of jobs (within the job) and the amount of people on the bench is getting high. She has been under a lot of stress although she had many great networking calls with people. I wanted to help but can't identify what she can improve on.

My company went toxic in the last couple months. Chose me and started interviewing. Had a very successful interview with Amazon but recruiter is working hard trying to place me and said there’s no knowing how long to find a team. Meanwhile I just received a Director offer for a company with a 29% pay bump July 1. If Amazon or any other FAANG/large co gets back to me, is there an acceptable way to not burn bridges with new job and accept or delay start date with FAANG? Or fuck it just hop?
