Hi, I spoke with Recruiter about my offer letter. I submitted Biometric, BGV two weeks before. She told me some internal approvals are pending, things got changed for offer letter. She will process the offer letter once approval comes from higher management. She also mentioned they will consider my profile on priority if any requirement comes.

In short my application is on hold.

I am doing a back door Roth IRA through Vanguard and while everything makes sense to me, I am unsure if an additional $6000 be invested for a non working spouse. We satisfy the criteria but two questions - 1) Is this still valid I.e., $12k can be invested for 2021? And 2) Any insight into how this is done - Vanguard doesn’t let me add more than $6k as it’s above the individual limit. I tried searching the bowl for specific answers but wasn’t successful. Inputs appreciated.

Salary cut 20% first week the virus broke out, no bonuses this year, and it’s unlikely that we will get that 20% back. Good thing this was my first year and I earned all of 3 months of my salary. 😑

Foreign LLM student here. I plan to take the NY bar exam in February. I’m thinking of taking a bar prep course (most likely Barbri). They offer two options: the “traditional” course (which lasts around 2.5 months) and an extended 6-month course. The difference in price is substantial – 2.5k for the traditional course vs 6k for the extended one. Any thoughts/recommendations on which one I should take? Can I start learning DSA using JavaScript to get into product based company from service based ? Or I need to learn other language first like C or Java and then learn DSA in that ? I am working as a Frontend developer so I already have knowledge of JS. Please suggest how to proceed ?
