It sounds great, but I am worried about the disruption this industry is facing with Robo advisors and other low cost, DIY options. Currently an associate at a V30 and negotiating a partnership position at another V30. What is the correct way to maximize the pay in the negotiation as a lateral partner? Read that McK is paying 2K higher than BCG this year which means BCG will probably raise again next year to at least match. However, they can’t just copy McK with 2K to match because that would look bad so they’ll have to beat it again. Then McK and Bain will follow. Barring a devastating recession, I’m guessing this means MBB is all getting raises again next year?

Best way to approach networking with MBB if I am planning to apply for roles in Jan 2024 (1 year from now). Do people start with their school alum and get referred to partners?
