Once a month on hands and feet: $80-$150 depending on if I wanna get fake nails and maintain them
Once a month eyebrows: $15
Every 2-3 months on hair about: $400 - $500 or so (for natural hair maintenance or braids they cost similar amount)
Every 2-3 months laser hair removal: $270
It’s expensive 🙃keeping yourself up but I may be pulling back on getting fake nails and get a more basic upkeep
I used to do twist outs and a wash routine every week, but I found that to be very exhausting since I prioritize cooking fresh home cooked meals, juicing and exercising.
I currently am wearing boho and love not having to worry excessively about my hair. It gives me a break to allow someone else to help maintain my hair.
Nails: every 3 weeks hands and feet: $220ish
Hair: every other month, $120
Facials: ~ every other month $100-300 (I’ll be adding injectables before the end of the year).
This thread is exactly why I don’t take financial advice from men 😤

OK Mr. I pay $20 for a barber and that’s the only thing I need to do to keep myself up 🙃

Hair: I do my natural hair on my own but when I get a protective style which is usually faux locs that's $225. Keep those in for about 2 months
Eyebrow threading: $12, every 6 weeks
Any other beauty I do at home
Pedicure once a month - $50
Eyebrow threading once every 6 weeks - $13
Laser facial (chin) hair removal every 5-6 weeks - $89 for 15 weeks.
I do my own natural hair myself (sew ins, braids, etc.) so it saves me a lot of $$$.
Looking to add facials soon.
$250ish/year (products only)
* Hair- Have locs so maintain them myself
* Nails- do them myself
* Lashes- custom oil blend I make myself and the Japanese iron rod mascara, cause bayyyybeeee I would be BLIND if I tried to master strip lashes or the fancy new clusters🤣😭
* Waxing/Lazee- do it myself. I alternate waxing and at home laser.
* Facials- do it myself.
Make my own hair & skin products including the waxing sugar.
Now if you ask how much it cost me to get to that point.... over the last 4yrs I have spent approx:
$350 to start my locs 6yrs ago
$100 to buy the nail machines (lamp, drills, etc)
$75 wax warmer
$300 skin lazer that works on chocolate skin
$150 for skin tools (brashes, microderm wands, steamer)
$150 for toothbrushes and dental cleaning/whitening kit.
$1200 foundational investment for $250/year maintenance costs🫣
