Hermosa Beach near the pier or Redondo near the wharf or Riviera Village if you want something a little slower
Depends on the vibe you’re going for. WeHo is probably the most “trendy” but rent will be at the upper end of your budget. I recently moved to Culver from WeHo and love it - cheaper rent, closer to the beach, and walking distance from a lot of resturaunt s and bars. I live walking distance to the expo line which goes straight to the pier in Santa Monica and to DTLA.
Santa Monica is also probably a good option for you; there’s a lot of late-20s/early-30s young professionals and you’re close to the beach.
Honestly really depends on your preference. Personally I like to be closer to the beach, but I avoid the pier since it gets pretty loud and crowded. A lot of young professionals Just North of the 10 between 20th St and Bundy since there’s a big corporate park there.
I’d say your best bet is to drive around and see which area you like and look for leasing signs. I’ve had much better luck finding places that way than looking online.
Wait a sec, doesn't Zillow offer metrics on these requirements
Depends what kind of nightlife you're into really. Silverlake is one of my favorite neighborhoods for that and it's pretty centrally located (as far as anything CAN be in LA).
I agree with Director 1 who said Hermosa Beach. This is where I first lived when I moved to LA & I enjoyed it. My apt was walking distance from the pier, where there's a variety of restaurants & bars. Also, walking distance to a few shopping centers; the main cross streets were Sepulveda & Artesia.
Plus, I love the Southbay overall, good vibes.
You should be able to get something with your budget.

Following. Looking for the same!
Are you by any chance open to having a roommate? I’m 31F, also WFH.
Sorry, wanna try living solo for the first time ever!
Culver City
Say what you will, but in South Bay you can afford a 2bd by yourself within walking distance from the beach at 2k/mo and have an assigned parking spot or garage
