Catalina, San Diego, Palm Springs, Mammoth, Napa, Paso Robles, Santa Barbara, Vegas, Sonora, Grand Canyon, Yosemite, King’s Canyon, anywhere in the Sierras, TJ... with LA as your base, the world is your oyster
Depends on how much driving vs. seeing you want to do, but a few I’ve done sorted in my personal favorite order
a) Santa Barbara, SLO, Big Sur or Pinnacles
b) Death Valley & Sierras
c) Palm Springs & Joshua Tree
Baja California is amazing! Pacific coast and California Gulf coasts are both spectacular and have so much to see. There are prehistoric cave paintings, whale watching tours, ATV off-roading, hot springs, and much much more.
I forgot to mention Guadalupe Valley. It’s the Napa/Sonoma of our region. But 1/5th the price.
It’s also possible to go to Zion for a weekend trip. Highly recommend!
