This is a long shot but figured I’d shoot my shot. I have 5 years experience working in product management in financial services. I love my job and the role(s) I get to play as a product manager, and have extensive knowledge of front,middle, and back office needs of asset managers and pension funds. With that being said, I am in an environment that is no longer challenging me. If anyone has any open roles they can refer me to, I swear you won’t regret it. Thank you so much.

How are experienced hires vs recent grads treated at top consulting firms? I understand that each branch of each firm will be different from the other and it depends on the leadership. But have there been any uniform truths that people have noticed?

My wife often calls me by 5:45/6 to ask where I am if I’m not headed home yet. Sometimes she’s stressed with kids/dogs/dinner and really wants me home. This really throws off my concentration because it makes me feel rushed. Like many practices sometimes I’m out at 5:30, other times it’s much later. Just depends and is unpredictable. Any advice on how to approach this?
