I worked at Cognizant. I left last month.
People are leaving, lack of skills for projects, lack of people management, lack of respect for people, bad crowd, skilled workforce is leaving, bad mid level management, lack of quality work are the reason behind it.
Instead of improving above areas, they think they can keep people by just throwing money in their faces.
They were OK to retain me, OK to give revised compensation, I was getting 1L one time bonus & 1L above my offer as retention but they don't know MONEY isn't the only thing.
@Author what did you do at the end? I am also facing similar kind of situation. Not sure why they are increasing the money by this huge amount without even negotiating. My offer letter package was 11lpa. Suddenly I received a call and mail from the HR stating that it is increased to 19lpa now. This sudden increase is a very huge concern. I did not even negotiate with CTS.
