How are you feeling about the inquiry into consultants? Is it making you question your career choices?

Hearing about it regularly is making me concerned about some senior leaders who have had many complaints made about them or the newly appointed director in consulting who was embroiled in a secret recording and bribery scandal in nz who now leads government client work.

Starting to feel uncomfortable with working for a firm like this.

I honestly haven’t had a lot of exposure to this kind of thing. Obviously it happens but I think there’s always going to be those who don’t do the right thing in big companies. If you don’t agree with it try and avoid working with those people or on those jobs.

Sadly I agree with SC1 that there are always going to be bad apples in large organisations like Big 4.

It is impacting me more than I had initially anticipated. Our pipeline is quiet - hard to tell whether due to market sentiment toward Big 4, or changes in our leadership team - perhaps both. Since my individual and team util is low, I very much feel like I would learn and achieve more by moving to an industry role, so I’m looking at leaving as a result.
