How's everyone doing with back to school and mental health? I'm too stubborn to break, but UUUGHHHH! Work is absolute hell with no relief in sight (but I'm glad to have a job!) & my child is starting a new school (in-person). So many emails and orientations, it's like being a lost kindergarten parent all over again! Plus a "mother's council" Zoom mtg @ 930 on a Thu AM?! Already super stressed & overwhelmed. Also lying about about not breaking, just haven't hit the wall of tears quite yet. Sigh.

Coming from ACN, senior analyst, 3yrs total experience so far & wanting to get into the data analytics/BI work. Currently have had experience working with SQL developer, OBIEE/OBIA, Teradata in ERP and Healthcare projects. I also have my AWS Cloud Practitioner Cert, hoping to eventually get the Data Analytics Cert later. Long story short, I have a bachelors in Public Health/Health Science, and no idea what to do with it. Quite quitting is not a bad thing.
On the other hand, it eliminates the useless nepotism, favouritism and riding on the backs of just showmanship and the perception of doing more than you are meant to do.
It provides a equal playing field without the vagueness of perception based performance. Just because someone puts in 18hours of work and sacrifices their physical and mental health, personal time and family time does not mean it's a win-win situation..

Partners/shareholders - how many hours are you expected to bill on work vs client dev and firm/associate management? My firm keeps saying that "there's no such thing as a relationship partner" and everyone top-to-bottom is expected to log 2000 hours/year on real billable work. Marketing etc is done on top of that. I am a registered nurse with over 10 years experience in various areas, including ER. I’m transitioning to L&D. I originally sent a resume to a post w/$10k sign-on. Before giving an offer, they sent a link stating I had to complete an app. The link showed a $20k sign-on bonus. Now the offer letter arrives with $10k. I’m not being greedy but could def use the extra as I am taking a pay cut for the position. Should I press for the $20k or just sign as is?
