Anyone know a good degree evaluation service?
Think they did a good job on this piece. It was a truly embarrassing moment for the firm, but I think it’s being handled as well as can be expected. Should go smoothly this year 🤞

The districts that keep teacher pay low see a serious shortage. Oddly, the districts that pay teachers more see much less of a shortage. It's weirdly uneven that way.
That’s so strange! Almost like there’s a correlation…
You pay good and they will come
Our starting salary is $61,360 for a brand new teacher and goes up to $120,000+. We always have so many applications for my district.
You should..look at who your teaching
Not bad in my district at all.
Currently, in Idaho, we are 600 teachers down. However, I was just told on April fools day that I was the teacher they were getting rid of due to lack of funds. RIF...... Reduction in force. But we're having a teacher shortage.
It really doesn't matter how bad the teacher shortage is here, because the budget is worse and a lot of districts can't afford to employ them anyways.
I thought Texas pays newer teachers higher than most states
Depends who you ask. The high school says we’re short 6. The district says we have 4 too many because the state funding formula changed and we can’t afford some positions.
Our district has 90 leaving, 4 just at my school (including me). I was told they already hired the ones for next year. Lots of teachers ready to come in. Just hope they handle it for the long haul.
I’m having the same problem. It feels like I’m trapped.
I see a trend among how bad or pronounced these shortages are: much less a problem in states that allow for collective bargaining and infinitely worse for those that don’t or specifically prohibit it.
We don't have a shortage. We even have a substitute teacher on staff at each site.
Teaching up North is WAY better than the crap pay here down South.
You pay them, they will come.
