In my experience I leave off anything on my resume that is not over 6 months unless I am still at the company. Have you left the company or going to stick it out until a new offer comes? Most often the new company only verifies what you tell them on the application/resume
I agree - leave off anything that short. No need to include it and explaining it will only result in you making negative comments (however valid!) about your brief employer. Even if it's all true and you're very tactful about it, there's no way that will be a good look. Just pretend it never happened.
If that results in any appreciable gap between jobs (6 months or more), you say it was due to "personal matters" and you're eager to get back to work. That's ALL you need to say. Period. They'll assume it was anything from an illness to a death in the family and almost certainly won't ask for details (if they do, that's a bit inappropriate and I'd pass on the job, personally). The part about being eager to get back to work covers any questions as to whether the reason for the gap might be a longer term problem.
Keep it simple.
