Carve a little time for yourself each day, each weekend. Block off your calendar, call out sick every once in a while and take a personal care day. Say “no” just 10% more.

Set your own reasonable limits and deadlines and push back against the deadlines that are unreasonable. But establish yourself as an excellent and trusted employee first.

Figure out what types of tasks and meetings are least important and start saying no to them

When I leave work. I leave my work at work. I don't take work home and I don't do anything work related after hours. I have strict boundaries when it comes to that sort of thing.

Just had a hearing on my motion to compel where OC told the judge we hadn’t conferred before filing the motion. Not only did I attempt to confer on 3 separate dates, I attached the emails and his response that he refused to confer to my motion. Judge didn’t care, as soon as she heard him say we hadn’t conferred she denied the motion. Not asking a question, just needed to vent.
