I had a terrible time with my first. Give yourself lots of grace. You don’t have to be a superstar for these FEW months and everything will be ok.

Keep something in your stomach at all times. I kept pretzels and goldfish crackers with me wherever I went and would just be constantly snacking.

They also make sour candies called Preggie Pops that are helpful, you can get them off Amazon.

I told my manager early on (like 9 weeks) and asked to work from home when I needed to. At home I took lots of naps and made up time in the evenings when I (sometimes) felt better. I also constantly ate saltines. Things got better for me around 11 weeks. I also got a prescription called diclegis around that time which is vitamin B6 and unisom. This helped my nausea a lot. Congratulations and I hope you start feeling better soon!

For me, with fatigue no real options other than naps. I was able to work from home some days and able to make it through. For nausea, I found that constantly snacking helped a ton. I didn’t want coffee or tea so I stayed away from that even when I was tired but tried to have things like applesauce and crackers (belvita breakfast biscuits were the best) that were light and helped me make it through. You can also find ginger candies or mints (world market or Trader Joe’s) to help with the nausea.

I’m in the last week of my first trimester now. I go to my car and take naps when I need it. I bring a full lunchbox of snacks and basically eat every hour to tamp down the nausea. It’s brutal. I spoke to a female partner really early on so that she knew.

Unisom + B6 changed my life. Still had lots of nausea but prevented me from having to actively puke every couple of hours. No advice on the fatigue. In my second trimester now and it’s still a struggle :-(

This. Also tell your boss. Ask for a reduced schedule, work from home, etc, whatever you need to make it through. I have terrible first trimesters and just suffered through it but this time (#3) I finally told my boss early and I am allowed to wfh as needed.

Hang in there!! My nausea and fatigue disappeared when I entered the second trimester. First tri was so rough.

I need some advice. I have some co workers that are really disgruntled and complain about their jobs a lot to me. It really bring me down and makes it hard for me to work because I get constant messages about how much they hate it here. I’m friends with them outside of work so I don’t want to explode on them. What do you recommend I do/say to them? I want our friendship to last but I can’t stand how they talk right now. And honestly some of their bitching is valid but some isn’t imo.
