Which group in EY tax doesn’t have busy seasons?
So I've had 2 hiring managers and several recruiters from Amazon reach out to me about applying for some open positions with the company (android). I completed the coding assessment and now they want me to go through a round of 5 hour interviews next week. Is there a good chance I'll be hired if engineering managers are reaching out to me? I'm really not sure how badly I want to work for them and I don't want to be laid off months after being hired on. Anyone know what Amazon hiring is like?

Amazon reached out to me for an interview to help their Echo Frames offline distribution (retail channels outside of Amazon) a bit nervous about the interview since I never interviewed for Amazon before , any tips or suggestions for the interview? (It’s with the hiring manager , recruiter already vetted me)

Probably not a ton, how can you guarantee a commission of the rep doesn’t put in the work
Over the years 3 month guarantees have been pretty standard as you ramp up your pipeline
We do 13 weeks guarantee for new hires
Never heard of this
I haven't either. Didn't know anyone did that.
My wife had the same. Her employer (scientific instruments) hires mostly academics and teaches them to sell. They want them hungry, so the base is shit, but the guarantee commission starts at 2x base and goes down over 8 months (usual ramp for getting up to speed) to zero. It’s an interesting way to get people on board and definitely depends on the sales cycle.

My company offers guaranteed commission for new hires for their first year.

My company does first quarter guaranteed 100% at plan commission.
T-Mobile for Business does. 4 months of ramp paid out accordingly for their AEs.
T-Mobile has a 2-3 month guarantee. This is so you can learn the job and still be compensated as it’s all tied into your compensation plan.
My company offers one month but then a 3-month ramp period where the payout is an insane percentage with no cap.
Do you mean this “Draw against commission”

No
The company I’m at now gives you a guarantee. So when you get brought in as an AE for example or promoted to AE you get a $3125 guarantee for the first two months
Cisco does it and calls it a Ramp.
You’re more likely to get a reduced first year quota
Many companies give you your first year “on plan” (salary + target 100% commission) income as you ramp up in a long sales cycle business.
My company does initial quarterly commission guarantee. (First 3 months)
I've had a few companies offer this when trying to recruit. My last employer offered this (6 months too) because they had no brand recognition and the sales cycle was so long. I personally think any company will to give "free" money away without any real strings attached, is being quite generous but not without a catch.
I would ask the company to define this and what the T&Cs are. If you take the money, are you locked into a specified time to work there? Is this a gate or a draw against future commissions? If you take it, does this lower your comp BCR rate? Is this given as a bonus vs. commission?
I’ve been AE at 2 different companies that did a guarantee for the first 3 months it was the ramp up period. Can’t build relationships in a week and think that you’ll hit goal unless your territory is really warm and strong

This is referred to as a "non-recoverable draw" and I've received as much as 3 months of commission in previous positions. Recoverable draws are simply a zero interest loan.
