How do you explain taking a pay cut for your last job without sounding like you made a mistake? I took it for flexibility, but now I’m worried I’ve tanked my leverage. Do I even really need to tell them what I was making at my last job?

I accepted a FADP offer but I have lifelong crippling anxiety It leads to (TMI) diarrhea, I can’t sleep at night, among a lot of other issues. I see a therapist and have their support in school accom. I appear high functioning and ever since uni went remote my life and performance has only improved. I know I’m capable of getting the work done and they must see potential if they hired me. But I feel that if I ask for WFH or other accom. I’m gonna be shooting myself and my career in the foot.
