I have always said no. if they want team building, do it during work hours

like

Mandatory needs to be during work hours. People have lives. If it seems fun and I'm available I'll go, or if I need good face time with the higher ups.

like

Nope

like

This. 100%. Absolutely not. It’s a soul sucking role and there’s too much burnout already. Mandatory team building after hours is a joke and it infringes on my plans and commitments outside of work.

You’re a 1099 don’t go if you don’t want to if you’re salary in that company go if you want who cares you’re in the position for life if not in sales anyway

like

don't mind

Couldnt think of anything worse. People have familes, lives, dogs to walk , kids to pick up. We don’t need team building exercises out of hours. We need fair wages and a work life balance. something like that will only bring your team together one way. Your team will bond out of the trauma of having to do your tram exercise. They’ll bond in a lift on the way to it talking about what a waste of time it is and how they wish they were home with their families.

like

Really just depends on what you want if you want to climb the ladder go if you don’t really care then don’t it’s not like it’s a fireable offense

These are the worst. I hate feeling like I have to give up my evenings to spend with my coworkers.

With remote team members this is more difficult and harder to manage.

I’m (early30s) about 8 months into a relationship with a 40m. Things are wonderful in every aspect, but he is absolutely atrocious with his finances. I felt it becoming an issue about two months ago. He forgets about auto payments and just generally doesn’t care. I sat down with him and looked at everything and even after talking it out he still continues to stress and it’s now causing me stress. I had a final discussion with him today about it and he went on abt how love isn’t enough for me…

Hello fam! Hope you’ll are enjoying your Sunday!

I faked my resume I mean my contracting firm did and I didn’t have choice and I got the job. Now my client wants to offer me a full time position. I kind of feel like they trust me with the work I’m doing and also considering my past experiences to offer me a full time and moreover it’s only been 3 months.

I know it’s a little unusual but what do you guys think/suggest me to do in this situation?!

This is my first job in a large corporate company, and I’m trying to gauge how long it normally takes to move from entry level to another internal position in the insurance industry. I have been applying internally for a year now and I am wondering if this is normal or if my company is just slow? I am a top performer, with great metrics, and I have some wonderful connections I’ve made who support me. I just can’t seem to move up. How long did it take you to move up? How many tries did it take?
