I agree 😣 It was like every other UGC brief, “authentic, real human stories”, but then *with AI.

That’s crossing all kinds of ethical and legal lines. Are we basically tricking people into thinking other people have submitted content but it’s really just ai?

Using AI for UGC feels very wrong. It could be done correctly if it’s explicitly stated that you’re recreating written testimonials with AI and they’re done in a more absurdist way (depending on brand tone). But I can’t really see this going well for a brand trying to create trust.

I’m worried about ethical and legal issues. I’ve flagged it but would love to hear other opinions.
I’m surprised how many Toronto creatives aren’t worried about AI.
I get it makes our jobs easier but I feel like there are so many other concerns being brushed under the rug.
