It's overwhelming but gets easier with time. My biggest lesson was saying no and standing firm on it if there were things that were not worth my time and getting those around me comfortable with those I chose to delegate the tasks to instead. Investing time in others you can rely on is the best solution I've found
Agreed. I do color code calendar and work to delegate to teams for their own growth. Saying no to new requests and bringing in others when I am under water. Intention in what you are working on is really important - how does it help you grow, is it aligned to your selected sector, does it support your business case.
I have full color coding and no life. That solved it. Eventually you get promoted and all the requests go silent or the firm drops you and all the requests go silent. :)
Thanks @EY1, would you mind elaborating , or sharing additional nuggets of wisdom that helped restore an ounce of sanity to your work life? The color coding sentence, couldn't tell if you were being real or being real sarcastic 😄
Color code calendars, prep day before on what is on fire the next day and who you need to connect with. catching up to speed on account (1-7 days in advance) .
Also no life
