How has the path to partner been? What are the typical numbers / criteria you have to hit?

Looking for recommendations on financial modeling courses (paid) that I can take for 3 statements/operating model, valuations, M&A, & LBO. Have been getting interviews with banks (3 in 2 months) but I come up short with the modeling experience (and weak on the technicals too). I’m thinking doing a modeling course will help with the no modeling experience + update my technicals? Thanks.

Which offer should I accept? Currently staff 2 at big 4 in Tax with CPA license. I want to leave tax ASAP. Both are public companies +1B in revenue and same salary. Offer 1 - staff revenue accountant so reading contracts, speaking with the sales team and legal team, a lot of work at the end of the months to close books and reconcile transactions to make sure we are ASC 606 compliant. This track usually leads to director of revenue. Offer 2 - internal audit staff so SOX and compliance projects.

For those who hire new software developers, does it make you stand out if you get your certificate from a university instead of a coding academy (like coding dojo or something)? Sales and Trading vs PE? What is comp, WLB and career trajectory like. Doing my MBA now and likely going into consulting, but not sure. Might plan to exit to PE but if S&T offers decent hours and similar pay, may just skip the whole consulting to PE business.

Hi everyone. Is it typical for the attorney to take credit for the work a paralegal does? An example: I gave some ideas about deposition questions and some observations I made (I was asked about giving suggestions) regarding a witness and the attorney mentioned that he’s the one that had these great questions/observations. I raised a complaint to the us learner team and they reverted my credit points back to be compliant as of june 30th 2021
