How do you value a SPAC that has an acquisition target identified? Shouldn’t the market cap of the SPAC = ownership interest in the acquisition x market value of acquisition x some risk %? What am I missing

The market value of the acquisition target is not established on a public market. You could retrieve some information to come up with your own value in SEC filings depending on how close the deal is to closing. There is also risk deal doesn’t crystallize if it falls through.

There usually is an investor slide that shows the market cap post spac. Valuation is a different animals as these are all valued at perfection and has been corrected in last few months

I have a request for interim relief pending before the court filed last Tuesday. It usually takes 1-3 Business days for a disposition. It’s now going on the 5th business day. I want to reach out to the court to follow up but don’t know how to phrase it. We need it decided like today. Any suggestions? It’s also an appellate court so I’d just be contacting the clerks office now the judge/chambers itself.

Received offer from BCG for ECT AD role. Read numerous comments about ECT being not attractive compared to Generalists track. Also heard challenges about billability/utilization. Any views/guidance is appreciated.

Background - I am not super keen to become an equity partner and comfortable to stay on ECT track. Main reason to join will be opportunity to work with different clients, smart talented people and good brand. I may consider going back to industry after 3-5 years in ECT.

Hi Folks,
Need your urgent help!!

Need your valuable suggestion on the below.
I Have 2 offers
TIAA:28LPA(fixed) +2L JB
SS&C(DST) :33LPA(fixed) +1JB
I have already accepted offer from TIAA and have received the Onboarding link. Will it be okay to renegotiate the CTC now by providing a counter offer.
Also,Do you know of any instance , when TIAA has declined the JB post joining.

TIAA's post exit process seems pathetic. Waiting since month for exit letter

Additional Posts in SPACs

Spacs to this point have been the easiest money you could make. Beware of 2021 As i feel even the top spacs get some pressure. Stick with good management and companies.

I’ll be taking a look at all the recent SPACs that had huge runs. The plan is to watch for momentum to start fading and play some puts at or around merger votes. A lot of these plays are priced to perfection on revenues 5+ years away. Will some make it big? Yes. Will some fail, yes. Also starting to watch the warrant exercise requirements. All of these have huge supply coming to market and I plan to be on the other side of the retail suckers

Any thoughts on VOSO and CND?

I am selling into these pops on psth. 50/50 chance the target disappoints the stripe crew and it dips hard. I’ll be buying a bunch of that is the case. Beware- 2/9th warrants are still attached to these shares so there is some premium in the price
