I've handled this by taking a lot of deep breaths and approaching it with a degree of patience. It's possible that things could change over time as new leadership gets more comfortable and also gets familiar with your work. And if it doesn't change... management style misalignment is a very common reason for finding a new employer.
It’s better that the relationship is new because you can set the precedent now before they get too comfortable. Tell them what’s worked in the past for you and where you need more support and how you prefer to be managed. They need to know how to manage you and if it’s not working, they need to adapt. That’s a good manager.
