Advice for someone moving to SF for an entry level job? I want to start off strong but realistically I'll be spending nearly half my income on rent.

Everytime I confronted her the ending is always the same, I loose the argument and end up paying everything.

About to get about $10k from freelance. I have a full time job so my bills are already covered. Unsure how to split the $10k - got about $3k on credit cards to pay off, but no other debt. Should I throw the rest into savings? Buy some more stock (have a few $100 invested already)? Could do a bit of each of course but as I split it up it feels like less and less and like I'm not going to see substantial growth either way.
