If you’re at an elite top tier firm, 7 out of 10. If you’re not, pretty non-existent. I’d hold off till the fall. Provided market improves and we don’t find ourselves in another needless war with no exit strategy, market conditions should improve.

I switched practices in 2024, did M&A/PE fully came back since then?

I am guessing juniors that are switching this easily are in the NYC area where work is plentiful?

After years of hard work, I just got my first position in a leadership role! Yay! I’ll be leading a team of 12.
I wanted to know if you had any tips for me, things you wish you knew before, or things previous leaders did for/to you that you found admirable or stayed with you. I want to make sure I’m there for them and want to be a leader they will remember positively.

Thank you so much!!

I’ve asked for work but no luck. I know they say this is normal for a stub but when should I start getting worried and consider looking for exit options? Fyi, I like my practice group, so I don’t want to change to a different group within my firm, hence would have to lateral, if I have to. Also, other co-1st years are churning in high hours.
