At what year do you become a midlevel?

So I had 3 deals scheduled to either close end of May or mid June which were all pushed to end of June/beginning of July. Which is when I have my first vacation planned for over a year (I take 0 time off). My whole family is flying up and we’re renting a cabin near me. What do I do? I’m running one of the deals, semi running the other one and not doing much leading on the other one. Note: I was supposed to not be running any of these. Do I find a back up first or tell the partners first?

I'm italian, 26 yo and currently working in France as financial analyst.
Work environment is great, friendly and multicultural but I don't like the job at all.
Personal life is not so nice since I manage to see my family and gf every 30/45 days only. Colleagues have their own lives and at the end we don't hang out much.
My dilemma is:
A) going back to Italy at a lower salary with less growth opps but better personal life or
B) Switching my job here and hold on

What would you do?

Hello guys! I work as a Campus Tech, I deal with 1200 kids for a Charter K-8th grade and 100 staff. I love working with a school district due to the amount of time we have off during school and summer off. But I’m debating on the pay I feel as I’m under pay for the amount of work that I do, troubleshooting Chromebook’s, laptops, printers, & projects…anything that plugs into the wall I cover. Junior Associates - How much student loan debt are you and your peers in these days? A few young partners and counsel at my firm were discussing the student loan moratorium and most of us were convinced we could have paid the majority of our loans off with the bonuses associates got these last two years. But we are all old and when we graduated 150k to 200k was about the max student loan debt people graduated with. So educate me. What is the average student loan debt these days?

After you are stealth laid off, other than job search, what do you do? I assume they won’t give you work and even if they do, you can politely decline? Was interviewing with a firm and soon after receiving an offer, learned of bad culture/toxic partners in the practice group from a couple of associates who recently lateraled from the firm. I turned the offer down. A partner that I clicked with while interviewing reached out asking me why I turned down the offer. Should I be honest and relay what I heard?

To those at V25 firms, how do you view your London office in terms of the quality of work we get and overall importance to the firm? Like is there a perception of us being a step down or ancillary to the big leagues of NYC or not? There’s generally a perception here that L&W and K&E are the only US firms where London can even begin to compete with stateside in terms of generating l work organically but would be interesting to know what you all think? What do you hate about BigLaw?
I actually love it. I was a paralegal in BL during law school. Maybe I am use to the environment? What am I missing? Help me remove the rose colored glasses. The cases are interesting, pay is fantastic, offices are beautiful, and the research resources are a big reason why I never want to leave. Sure there are partners/senior associates that don’t respect you or your time. That happens everywhere and would mean you need to move firms or sections. What am I missing?

Is it normal for a firm to require you to complete a conflicts check/questionnaire BEFORE they provide you an offer?
