3.4 non stem gpa from top tier college, but had solid ECs in college that took up a lot of time. 3YOE at McKinsey, made manager, followed by 2 yrs at mega fund PE. No serious ECs other than the occasional volunteering. Solid rec letters, 760 GMAT. ORM male

I regret not applying to Harvard. I never thought I’d get into a top school and then got into wharton with a 100k fellowship - which changed my entire perspective. It sucks thinking “what if…”. I just didn’t have the confidence and thought wharton was a reach so why bother with H/S 🙃 hope this inspires someone to just shoot their shot - you never know

Anyone ever have experience negotiating a new offer to include unvested 401k match and stock grants from your current employer? I hate leaving money on the table but there are some good roles out there. I’m not fully vested in my current 401k yet and my stock grants haven’t matured yet either. This would be at a global director level.

I have an offer for a senior technical accountant role in HCOL. The base is about 103K. But I'm required to work on-site basically every week day. Due to this, how much more % wise do you think I can reasonably try to negotiate for? Thanks!

Might get an offer from a big pharma company for a senior manager role. Any thoughts on what compensation I should ask for? Glassdoor has a wide range. I have 5 YOE.

I'm currently in a consulting manager role internal to a well regarded pharma company. However, i have been contacted about a role at IQVIA for a new pure strategy internal group that they are standing up. It would be a 55% salary boost with director title and completely remote. Should I consider it? The salary increase and location flexibility are alluring.

I recently had an initial interview for a technical recruiter position. The guy on the phone stated that this is not a 9-5 job and long hours are expected. I proceed to ask how much PTO is offered and he said that is not recommend within the first 6 months of working and the harder you work the more PTO you receive. From that conversation, I saw instant red flags. Any thoughts?

Hey all, I’m considering a position with KPMG’s Deal Advisory / M&A service line as an M. What are your thoughts on 1) work life balance, 2) business outlook, and 3) culture? The salary is very competitive.

I'm leaving Deloitte (consultant - capital markets) for an analyst role in M&A (in house) in a relatively small company. How long should I stay and how hard is it gonna be if I want to join an IB or rejoin a consultancy ?

Align to non-M&A offering but do a lot of work in the space (DD, integrations). B4 recruiter reached out and wants me to provide resume@for review with hiring partner. Does it work if I provide a bio with summary of M&A projects (client names removed) instead of a traditional resume? Also plan to list education and previous roles.

ACCA and CPA qualifications. How useful are they in the line of consulting. I work in the M&A space focusing on FDD. Happy to have a chat to see what qualifications if any are actually useful in our line of work.
