They lowballing you - I’m a M at $200-$215K base. Culture here is - no one cares about your personal life - keep the partners happy
Location?
WLB and M&A is tough and last 12 months have been extra tough with all the demand but not worse than elsewhere and outlook for team is very strong and culture is the best I’ve experienced in 15 years in consulting
Excellent thanks!
Great team in general at DAS in KPMG. I've been at some of the other B4 firms and worked with people from leadership from the T1 firms. I won't say M&A is chill, but this is the closest I've ever found to that.
I can't say comp is market leading but I do have a life. I get to see my kids grow up. If something comes up, I am not stabbed at year end. They look at my contribution more holistically than focused on just a few metrics. Never planned on coming here but got tired of another firm that over promised and under delivered.
My colleagues here are awesome and the most supportive group I've seen in my entire consulting career. If you are inclined to bring a toxic B4 attitude like some of the other firms have, don't come here. The ratio of very good people to pricks/biatches is very good. I hope we can keep the ratios like that. That is worth far more to me than another 10-20k a year.

WLB - work. Culture - probably more work. Business outlook - What are you a partner? What’s the comp?
Compensation depends on location. I am with same practice and WLB has been awesome. Whats your loc?
I am happy with all 3. I started as a M in the same group recently and unless you have an MBA, I think that comp is fair. You could maybe bump up 5k.
I’ve been happy with all 3 but I’ve heard that varies from office to office
What’s the comp ?

@A3 no I was a lateral from another b4
What’s the comp

How does WLB vary across industry focus? How many hours per week? Also what are bonuses like
Don’t think it varies immensely across industry teams if you’re in M&A but some teams may be busier than others. Will vary more if you’re focused on CDD/ODD vs execution or the function COEs. Bonus depends on level and performance but personally got +25% this year
Which service line within DAS? FDD, AAS, ITDD, ODD, CDD?
My bad, A&M1 - read it as a question. And yes, doesn’t change a ton for most people day to day but for a re-org it didn’t break anything important and may help create better alignment and career flexibility
The M&A side is good
