How long do companies usually give after extending an offer letter for the candidate to decide?
My last job I was only given 3 business days — I’m still in the middle of interviewing but a recruiter said an offer is in the works with HR but they gave me the verbal? Any tips or what’s reasonable to ask for more time on the decision process?

My father has been very aggressive and keeps on creating quarrel like situations at home day in and day out.
I care for him a lot. However, i have tried both calm and aggressive tones during quarrels, but it also didn't help.
Now it's becoming unbearable to keep on getting involved with his quarrels over little things... considering this scenario I am also not proceeding with matrimonial process as not sure how the girl will handle this
