Finally found THE one, after over a year of searching and trying out at least 5 different ones!
A nice comfortable office chair.
https://ergochair.co/collections/chairs/products/ergonomics-mesh-chair-w-adjustable-headrest-and-armrest?variant=32511617597491
My criteria: mesh seat and back, arms, headrest
I tried cheap ones from Amazon. Expensive, second hand gaming chairs. Tried HM Aeron (second hand) and while I didn't like the bulk and the general design, I was sold on the mesh seating. I wanted to get the ErgoChair 2 from autonomous, but it doesn't have mesh seat.
AMA.
Top consulting firms right there!!

Got a random email from a supposed Amazon recruiter for a SDE position (which is not at all a fit). The email is amazon.com domain and there are no red flags in the body but it doesn't feel like an Amazon recruiter due to the tacky signature, etc. Has anyone seen this kind of cold-calling from FAANG recruiter?

Do you want in human years, dog years or LEK years. Then it’s 5-7yrs / 9-12 months / 8-10 engagements where you don’t logoff before midnight
Usually 3 years if you join as C1 post-MBA, but only about 5-10% MBA consultants become Manager. Rest are fired, even if they have top ratings.
LEK Manager handles 2 projects at the same time along with client development, so the role is slightly different.
I was an LEK EM. A lot of it is natural high attrition in consulting. C is post-MBA level entry point, so some wash out early, most make it to year 1 and then a lot leave to industry. Top 10-15 MBA plus a year at EM and there are lots of great exits in life science and industrials. Of course PE portcos with all those PE DD reps.
I am a VP at a PE portco now.
It took me 2 years - I think it’s getting longer though.
Consultant at LEK is already the project lead, so it is usually the same as the role of “Manager” at a lot of other T2 & MBB firms
Exactly lol - we are paid slightly more for the title comparatively but definitely underpaid for what we do. Guess you get exit faster
